Neurodivergent advocacy and education non-profit begins board formation.
Wichita, KS: Today, Umbrella Alliance US formally announces the appointment of Sarah Phelps as National Board Chair. This is the first appointment of a board selection process that will continue through Q3 as Umbrella Alliance US ramps up programming and partnerships work nationwide.
“Having Sarah as our board chair is an absolute blessing, igniting a flame of hope and determination within our organization’s core. With her passion and unwavering commitment, we are destined to forge a path of stability and sustainability, advocating for and, more importantly, with NDs across the United States” stated Angela Locashio, Executive Director. “Words alone cannot express the joy that fills my heart for welcoming Sarah to our team. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will strengthen and empower our community, always valuing our unique experiences, needs, and aspirations.”
Ms. Phelps is an experienced board founder and has served on 10 founding boards to date. Her history of dedication to diversity, equity, and belonging work, record of successful innovative strategies, and program creation experience will help Umbrella Alliance US create infrastructure and programs that support and empower neurodivergent individuals in all facets of their lives.
